RRD Firewave 92 Limited 2014

Mick Smith is a very experienced and  well known local sailor.. say no more!
He is 6ft something and carries quite a few kg (99.5?) but its all muscle.. well almost! :)
Please note his remarks about mast track and footstraps as this could help those that find their wave board 'skittish'.

Hi Danny.

Was out in Lanzarote but only one day of wind and nothing else forecast, so came back early, to try the new board.

Firewave 92 Ltd

Rigged with Ezzy 4.7 Elite.. powered to over powered on Sunday (15th Sept). First thoughts were it's LIVELY, very quick to plane, controlable and smooth. It is a wave board and total different to the RRD FSW.
92 seems of similar size to the old 84 FSW, but with more grip. Even when I should have changed down to a 4.2m it was still in control.

I let Guy (Curtis)  and Phil (Dobner)  try it, both thought smooth but lively. Phil suggested moving the front footstrap one hole forward, as I had it set the straps right at the back.

Monday 16th Sept.  Brackelsham 4.7m comfortable, moved the mast track to forward of centre, made the board much more planted, v fast, quicker than friends on FSW's.
Think the trick is that you will have to play with the settings - footstraps - mast foot - fin to make it work for you... but I've now had two great days on it, a fast easy to manoeuvre board, which keeps in control, even when overpowered. Really can't recommend it enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!
