New to the world of SUP in 2017 the STX Inflatable SUP boards sold out incredibly quickly and again in 2018, as their package is one of the best in the mid ranged price bracket. The main reason is that they are a double layer construction board which in the same price bracket as the majority of single layer boards. From 2021 they have an improved FXL construction which is lighter by almost 0.5kg on a 10'6" board compared to 2020 and is also 'stiffer', meaning less flex when you stand on it and that means that the boards glide rather than stop when you stop paddling. Double layer is also used as it is less likely to suffer seam leakage.
They are aimed at the mid way point of the SUP market place and have the backing of one of the largest SUP, kite and windsurf importer / manufacturers in Holland, so you will have peace of mind that it is not a 'toy'. The boards are supplied with a 3 part adjustable alloy shaft / composite blade paddle, a high pressure pump (fast inflate as pumps on up and down strokes but can then be switched to just down for the final part of inflation) and a basic carry bag which does have backpak straps. Everything you need.. well almost as a leash will be supplied with the board. Paddles have been upgraded for 2022 making the package even better value. The STX boards are one to be considered!
