Never made it to the site on the day but here now!

Yet another week in Paradise has flown by and Friday night is back again.. which can only mean one thing…  it’s the end of the week!

And what an end.. a Yellow Warning was issued for severe Thunderstorms with the possibility of flooding, from 5am until 12pm today. Maybe it was just here but it really did not come to anything apart from the normal rain on the way in and whilst I was putting the kit out (did anyone hear thunder?).  It looks like they get a 2nd chance to get it right this evening, as there is another Yellow Warning from 8pm this evening until 5am tomo and they may well be right, as it has that storm ‘feeling’ about it.

(I am speeding up now, as that will put me in the ‘firing line’ on the walk to the pub later!). All a bit of a shame, as on Wednesday it actually felt like summer had returned to the beach.. people looked happy and some were even SUNBATHING!.

The Eastbourne Airshow started today and I’m sure they were hoping for good weather to brighten up the attendance figures, as the Red Arrows have had to cancel due to a technical issue.. probably no money available to put fuel in the aircraft.

Yes, I’m being cynical but it so easy to be like that nowadays. Normally we hear the aircraft heading over to the show but today has been fairly quiet, possibly due to thunderstorm avoidance. We do hope it’s a good weekend, for everyone concerned! https://www.visiteastbourne.com/airshow

Offers galore at the moment and here are just a couple that you can find on the website (it’s getting darker outside...)

Duotone Black and Silver Booms with prices starting from £139.00

https://www.surfladle.com/booms

Naish Carbon Ultra Wing-boards from £799.00

https://www.surfladle.com/wing-boards/naish/naish-s26-wing-foil-hover

Talking of Naish, we have just received a clearance list which has the Y26 Force 4 and Force 5 sails, plus the Chopper 3X Low Aspects and the Naish Lift RN (Robbie’s superfast High Aspect slalom sail). Prices are starting from as little as £450.00 so be quick, as these offers will be gone by Monday (our friends in Germany will take the lot). You can see the sails at https://www.naishsails.com/products/sails

If you don’t see what it is you are looking for on the website, don’t presume we don’t have it or cannot supply, as it’s mor than likely that we will or can and quite often than not, at a better price than on the net ! Just Ask..

FBC have just released their new RAD versions of the Wing-foiling waist and wrist leashes. RAD is a colourful edition for those that find Black a little boring (you needed to be around in the early Eighties to see what COLOUR actually meant.. think Barbie Movie if you’ve seen it). They’ve also just released their Leash with Carabiner option, for those that already have a board waist and only need the leash for the wing. You can see all of these at  https://www.surfladle.com/accessories-1

Getting darker still… so time for the glorious weekend weather and tide times.

Saturday.. you will never guess what.. it’s Windy with a Sou’West 16-23kts all day (could be a good sail before 12pm Alan) with only a splattering of rain shown for the early morning (I think they showed no rain last weekend and DID IT RAIN!). Tide hits High at 13.58hrs on a nice 5.9m (sandy when low). Temp is given at 18°C but let’s hope it’s a little more than that (sailed in a shorty last Sunday.. lovely!).

Sunday, the wind drops back to an 8-12kt breeze from the Sou’West, so newcomers to wing foiling and hopefully SUP riders as well, will get a chance to go out on the Sea to play. The rain is still showing as non-existent but I will check for a Cancelled sign on the Shoreham Flyover Boot Sale site gate, as the farmer seems to gets it right! Tide is High at 14.22hrs, again on a 5.9m, so not far to walk for a swim.

And that is that.. time to pack up and get out of here, in case the forecasters get it right and I get zapped by a thunderbolt. The Megastore is open again from 9.30am until 5.30pm tomo and then for our sins, we are open 10.00 – 4.00pm on Sunday.

We hope everyone has a wonderous Summer Hols weekend and that the sun shines down on you, at some point.

Ta’ra for now!
