Some had Wind, Some had Rain, but No Bike Ride and Brexit ?

 Morning!
We are open once more and typically I think we may have missed the first windy week at Shoreham in ages!! I say think as I have not seen the stats as yet and after chatting with a customer and James who were both in Cornwall, they had 'nothing' compared to what I ungratefully recieved whilst up in North Wales. The customer (Jeff Cox) who was in Portreath (North coast Cornwall) with Simon Bornhoft for four days of fun had Force 4 tops, whilst James on the South Coast near Helston also had the same. Myself. errr..slightly more at 70mph in Wales,  so of no use to anyone and it caused a few probs with getting around as a lot of tree parts and tree 'whole' were nicely 'scattered'. Not as bad as Ireland but the gusts were pretty nasty. And then the rain came. We all know that it rains in Wales but it was rather persistent and heavy on the Thursday ( we saw a lot of Arks being built..) whereas here and in Cornwall by all accounts it was pretty dry..  I think I may have pulled the short straw?
So if we missed a great time on the Sussex coast.. please don't tell us about it!

The forecast of The Weather for today and tomorrow looks really odd now compared to the forecast of just a day ago. The strong winds have gone and the rain, although still looking a tad heavy, is not quite as set in stone as it was. This is probably due to Velo having cancelled the 100 mile bike ride that has been creating mayhem with the residents of 'country lane' Sussex since the yellow road signs saying Road closures were put up a month or so ago. The great British Weather may be bad for events but perhaps the actual forecasts (of Hell on Earth.. ) are becoming just as disruptive,  but hey, guessing what the weather will be is always going to be a hard call, 'I guess'.

So the Tides for today are as we know reliable and the High will.. or rather was.. at 10.42hrs on a 5.5m (been writing this in between customers) and then on Sunday it's 11.17hrs on a 5.8m.

Good luck if you have an outside event going on which has not as yet been cancelled and fingers crossed that the outcome of Brexit (if ever agreed..) will include LESS rain for the UK and more wind and sunshine.. well 'someone' must be in charge of it by now!
