The weekend and once again.. WIND!

Friday eve and that's another week done... time for the weekend!

Been a lot going on this week and have a few bits of info which may be of interest.. or may not!

First up is Andy Chambers of Pryde UK visited us on Monday. He brought along two boards which are very much our area.. a JP Freewave 103 (£1999.00.. lovely shaped tail and colours) along with the New Slate stubby waveboard (£1999.00) which they have spent a lot of time on 'perfecting' the nose shape, the rails and a new underside (rockerline and concaves etc.)  to make the boards performance 'even better'. Colours of the Skate are VIBRANT.. not one that will be missed on the water.  He also brought along the two Windsurf Foils that Neil Pryde are offering . The NP F4 Carbon is sooo light but then it should be at £2049.00 (comes with two leading wings) and then there is the NP Flight Foil Alu which is far more reasonable at £699.00 (Carbon are currently in stock at Pryde Europe but the Alu is next available January 2018 as demand has been way more than expected on all foils..  :).

We also saw the first foils from Naish recently.. it was a panic job trying to get the Thrust foil from ourselves and then the Hover Board sent direct from Holland over to a customer who was spending a week or two with Peter Hart and thirty or so other windsurfers in Donegal, Ireland. We managed to get all of the kit there 'on time' and were looking forward to some great shots of the kit being used.. just unfortunate that the poor guy got walloped by his own SUP board and broken ribs put paid to any thoughts of windsurfing let alone learning to ride a foil! Nice looking foil though....

I mentioned a few weeks ago that we had seen Murray
Saunders (in charge of K4 fins distribution and now the UK Rep for RRD ) and he had said that K4 were to supply fins for the new RRD Wave Cult.. well it's all true and in the New Year 23 Brochures that arrived a day ago (Wind and Kite.. SUP to follow). These are the best I think RRD have produced as they have great pictures but also now have good technical info as well.. drop by and pick one up as they are FOC (only have approx 5 Kite left).  Just as a matter of note, we have also ordered the RRD Fahranheit 5/3 Back Zip wetsuit (great spec. suit but typically expensive as per all in this league..  £416.00) and Amazone Lady 5/3 back zip suits as these are high spec. with fast dry interior  (£289.00).

You can see better pictures of the JP boards, NP and Naish Foils on our facebook page

I reckon that is enough News for now.. hope it has been of some interest! Now for the weekend outlook...
Really small Neap tides this weekend so it should be good for Shoreham as it is almost a 'mid tide' situation all day but... beware of the 'trough' as you enter the water as the wave breaking on the same spot and the sideways rip will dig a lovely hole that may catch you out on launching and landing! The winds are getting busy  from the Sou West on Saturday afternoon and then it is increasing in strength all the way through until at some point on Monday when  they currently reckon will swith to the Nor West late in the afternoon. Wind speed gusts were initally (earlier this week) thought to be in the upper 40kts area but have been decresed now  to mid 30's.. so if current predictions are anything to go by.. go with the first one and expect 40kts plus Sunday-Monday ! :) Tide times are.. Saturday 07.25hrs on a 4.6m Sunday08.34hrs on a 4.9m.

Hopefully Bill may post a Shortcast this evening  on our facebook page but he may have other things to do (no pressure Bill..).

And that is all you have time for...  go and have some fun as it's The Weekend!
