This current weather 'trend' may well have put a stop to Wind sports but it was good to see our local Publican from the Bridge Inn at Shoreham out for a SUP on Wednesday..she was wearing a SUMMER SUIT and I would class last Wednesday as FREEZING!

You have my admiration Imogen and for that I am putting your PUB as our promotion of the day! The Bridge Inn is really very popular now but it is big enough to cope and the food is great! Go and say hello if you get a mo.

Other worthy news of the day is that the ZETA sails from Ezzy are now in the UK and we have a 5.2m Demo if anyone is wondering WHAT the heck the ZETA is all about.. me too as looking forward to trying this 'new feel' five batten (if it's as good as his FIRST ZETA I will be happy.. twas a great sail). It's on our website and you can learn 'all' by linking from there to the Ezzy site.

Next up it's.. EZZY again (we do sell other sails but these just happen to be the latest kids on the block).

There is a NEW Elite due in January 2017. I don't know that much about it other than what we have uploaded to our website. Nic the Farmer has been mailing David Ezzy about the sails and one thing that I 'think' was mentioned is that the Mk5 has had a bit of a change to where its power is located as some riders felt that the sail had under certain conditions a high 'lift factor'. I would assume the centre of effort has therefore been lowered.. but I could be wrong. The sail is on our website but nothing as yet on the Ezzy site. Orders are being taken now.. link as below.

Prices.. not a good subject for you and even more so for us as everything in this shop has to be paid for and our prices have in fact gone up more than yours. In a lot of cases our operating margin has been cut to try and keep the RRP down and believe me the margins on the kit we sell is not great (that 'fact' goes for a lot of the Importers in the UK too). There are luckily still products around that are pre-financial disaster and these really do look very tempting when compared to the latest kit.

In reality when you think that a ZETA TX 5.3m in 1996 had an RRP of £385.00 I guess a sail costing 38% more (£620.00) twenty years later is not an unreasonable hike.. but maybe that is how those in China who are making the sails and improving their lifestyles will see it, rather than ourselves who are now feeling the squeeze on our spare cash due to our 'living expenses'. It's a tough world we live in...
 

As for bargains.. we have a brand new 2017 Fanatic Freewave STB TE 95lt with slight transit damage (a pressure crack on the underside). YOU can have this board at £1519.00 (RRP £1899.00) if you are happy to do a small repair!

RRD have boards that they are about to clear including

Freestyle Waves in 94lt and 100lt and the Firewaves, Wood in all sizes and all in Ltd's apart from the 92lt. Pricing is expected to start from £999.00 (that's a 2003 price!). Also Inflatable SUPs with windsurf option from £599.00 or poss a bit less! These boards will be up for grabs across the whole of Europe so don't delay if you are interested.

As for the weather and tides for this weekend.. the wind returns (see next weekends..warm and windy at the moment) !

Saturday and Sunday both have winds coming in from the East with temps being given as 6-9 degrees. Tides

are high on Saturday at 13.02hrs on a 5.9m and Sunday is 13.37hrs on a 5.8m.

You see.. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT!
