Bertha brings Joy..Mike has a SPOT and I smiled..for once!

Been busy with the Summer Shop Madness so apologies for nothing on facebook or web.. but had to make a mention after a stonking weekend!! I'm sure a lot of you had a Great days sailing yesterday even though the winds were pretty hard to deal with at times (personally went off of the middle of Shoreham Beach after work.. less rock pools there..with a 4.9m 3 batten Taka and 66 lt twinser ..gusts were Ok but the holes in the wind and switching direction did make it hard work !) what a fantastic summers day for both kite and windsurfers alike (sure the surfers enjoyed it too..not sure about 'campers' though). Mike Howard from Eastbourne sailing at Spot X sent this pic in (3.7m sail) and if anyone else managed to get pics PLEASE do send them,  as I would love to post as many as poss.. kite, SUP, wind or what have you!! Today looks as though we are on for another session.. fingers crossed it stays for the evening!! Last thing to say was that I was amazed at how good the 3 batten sail was in those conditions and if any board would show up a poor stability sail then a 66lt Twin fin with tichy little fins would.. .truthfully the sail did not put a foot wrong and the only problem I had for the hour and a half sail was my ageing body!! Thank you Mr Ezzy as it really did bring a smile to my face... I loved the semi-soft wave sails of the late eighties as they are so smooth on the wave and this sail was just like them... but just SOOO MUCH better!! But maybe not for everyone eh.. SEND IN YOUR PICS Please!!  mail@surfladle.co.uk
