Hove Lagoon are running a SUP Fun and Race day this coming Sunday the 12th August. SUP (stand up paddle) is currently the fastest growing watersport in the world and has been taken up by the hardened sports atheletes for the distance and big wave riding side of the sport, but also by female Movie Stars who do it for the alround fitness and body toning aspects of the sport.

The day is split into two, with the morning set aside for anyone that is interested to go along and look, touch and try the kit available from Fanatic, ION, Red Paddle and Starboard (Nik Baker will be there with The Fanatic / ION kit and Sam Brown will be showing the Red Paddle and Starboard kit) and then in the afternoon things hot up with three SUP Races scheduled between 12.00 and 3.30pm, with prize giving rounding things up at 4.00pm

The races are open to anyone to enter (pretty sure you must have your own kit but you can check this when you call) and there are prizes up for grabs in each race category. Cost to enter is a minimal £10.00 if you call before Sunday, but £15.00 on the day if you don't want to commit. Every entrant gets an ION Event T-Shirt, so well worth the outlay!

The mornings events kick off early at 9am and go on until mid day, and then it is racing through to 4pm. So, it's drop in for a relaxing morning paddle or
